Saint Gayane Church, Vagharshapat

Designated as a World Heritage Site, Saint Gayane Church boasts a rich history dating back to the year 630. Despite its age, the church remained relatively unchanged over the years, marking the spot in which Abbess Gayane was tortured and martyred in 301, during the turbulent period of Armenia's conversion to Christianity.
