Constructed into the side of a hill overlooking Mount Ararat, Armenian Genocide Museum commemorates the victims who have fallen during the Ottoman extermination of the Armenian people in 1915. First opened in 1995, the museum annually receives scores of visitors, both foreign and local, providing insight on the nation's dark history and with an aim to prevent similar tragedies. Visit the indoor exhibition hall covering 1,000 sq m (10,763 sq ft), and the outdoor gallery. You can plan Yerevan trip in no time by asking Inspirock to help create your itinerary.

Armenian Genocide Museum Reviews
It was an incredible historical journey the visit to this museum. I am very glad that Armenian people did not forget this atrocity, since we all need to learn from hisotry. more »
it's about the memory of lots of people who killed by turkey late empire, modern architecture and nice, from there you can see the whole city and Ararat mountain more »
By far the most impressing and dignified museum and memorial place I have seen. A must visit to understand this heavy period of time. Thorough and informative reprocessing of the darkest chapter in the Armenian culture. Very unapologetic but still doesn't come off as 1-sided. We were there for 2 hours. Memorial part and the museum itself are displayed in pressing but adequate gravity. We came out humble and contemplative even though we engaged this topic frequently before. It really helps with putting things in perspective and understanding this great Armenian culture and helps to learn about the huge impact this was on the ethnicity of Minor Asia
Very interesting to learn about the history. Is free entrance and last entrance at 15:30. It closes at 16:00.
