Famous for its rugged scenery of awe-inspiring gorges, Karijini National Park is the second largest park in Western Australia. The ancient landscape--featuring some of the oldest rocks on the planet--was carved out by water and wind erosion over millions of years. Descend into slot canyons, paddle in spring-fed pools beneath cascading waterfalls, hike across hummock grasslands, and spend a night at an Aboriginal eco-retreat. The park is home to a variety of wildflowers and wildlife, including red kangaroos. The park boasts a semi-desert climate, so the best time to visit would be around winter. • The Karijini National Park is simply stunning and amazing! Maybe the most interesting and beautiful National Park in Western Australia. There are some good camp grounds where you can spend the night. Lovely gorges and natural pools and also some great waterfalls! You can spend many days there! Definitely worth a visit!
