  • The entrance fee is included in the Salzburg card. Worth a visit in any case, especially with children.

  • Ever seen a museum so good for kids! (From 3/4 upwards. There are attractions for the little ones). Explora to Rome and the children's Museum in Genoa are nothing by comparison! Worth visiting even for adults who will find many interesting areas. I leave a couple of recommendations: revenue at 9 because during the day the halls are filled out of proportion especially in wet weather and visit before the interactive portion (at the entrance to the right you go up the stairs) that surely the opening it is not crowded. Open every day but closes at 17. Staying from three hours up. Nominal fee for what is inside! (8 euros per person and under 3 years free). Eating area and picnic area. To go back multiple times in a child's life!

  • 1 part is really a traditional museum. Little old and on some parts awful hot. The other part, the experience centre is a modern museum, where you can discover yourself. Staff not really friendly. Museum is open until 5 pm, but by 4:45 p.m. is you go out looked/out put. That is really unfortunate.

  • Great experience! We went as a group aging from 23 to 65 yr old and all really enjoyed it. There were interactive stations on each level as well as videos to watch. We spend a few hours here! The only reason i did not give 5 stars is that a lot of the displays did not have English text and there was no audio tour on offer.
  • Enjoyable for all ages.I had a great time there .But don't throw away your tickets. You are going to need them if you want to buy something from the cafe. Some interactive stuff for children and people like me.(sorry for bad english)
  • Great museum for kids of all ages. Experience live size dinosaurs; jump in space with a real space capsule; learn the laws of physics. The museum is quite big and our takes at least a couple of hours to see everything, and then plan another couple of hours for the kids to play in the multi storey playground. Entrance is free with the Salzburg city card.
  • The science center was cool and entertaining. My big issue is with the aquarium and reptile "zoo." I was excited to visit these attractions, but it seems that they do not keep the animals in proper conditions. There were many small tanks with large fish crammed in, an eel that got its tail stuck and seemed to have died, and dirty water in a few tanks. In the reptile "zoo" there were VERY large snakes in small tanks, birds enclosed in tanks with iguanas and tortoises (birds should have plenty of space to roam/ fly and iguanas run and swim in the wild), and it seemed far too little space for the alligator to walk around or swim. On top of it all, most, if not all, of the animals did not have any contact with the sun.
  • Some parts good other areas showing their age. New science wing for families

Where to stay in Salzburg

There’s no better area to stay in the city where Mozart was born than the historical city center, a World Heritage Site. Salzburg's hub offers comfortable accommodations nestled between a rich array of sights. The Salzach River cuts directly through town, dividing the city into east and west. Look for accommodations in the Altstadt, tucked in between the river and the city’s mountain, Monchsberg. For budget-minded travelers, try a centrally located youth hostel or small hotel. If price isn’t an issue, splurge on Austrian luxury in an upscale hotel.
