  • good for an hour or so remembering toys from previous years, free entry some days. good for kids of all ages  more »
  • Christmas holidays and a horrible rainy day - with preschool and toddlers so off to the Toy Museum. Turned off after dropping wet clothes, prams and going on is on the first floor. 2 hours pass in a Flash with the puppet, cooking, shop. Small snacks, and next's ...wowww to the Carrera-Bahn as quickly but an hour is over, though the cars circling. Here is young and old fascinated. A little break and then to the slide, the tiny tinker wood railway at de ´ r and the larger increase a hundred times the stairs up to the sliding down. We adults have the railway anyway, break or leisure besichtigigen. Finally even down to the marble runs... and already the afternoon is over, tighten again, outside it is already dark, the children have red cheeks and tired eyelids... How beautiful can be so an afternoon despite good crowds. Until next time.

  • Is a nasty rainy day in Salzburg and the kids are restless? Get him to play at the Toy Museum, and surely will have fun. The property is on two floors, but at the end of Museum has absolutely nothing. It's just a place full of playground ... To avoid

  • One of the most interesting museums i've ever been to, interactive and highly recommended for families with children, while the kids can not only have look at the old and special toys, but they can play all day long with thr wide variety of games and toys there.
  • A good place to spend a rainy day with the little ones. There is an underground parking place just near the museum.
  • We didn't enjoy the place too much because my son is too old for it (11 years), but the museum is amazing and for little kids is a place where you'll spend the day.
  • good place for visiting with kids up to ~10 years old
  • Great for young children. Not really suitable for anyone else. Less of a museum and more of a play area with a few displays.

Where to stay in Salzburg

There’s no better area to stay in the city where Mozart was born than the historical city center, a World Heritage Site. Salzburg's hub offers comfortable accommodations nestled between a rich array of sights. The Salzach River cuts directly through town, dividing the city into east and west. Look for accommodations in the Altstadt, tucked in between the river and the city’s mountain, Monchsberg. For budget-minded travelers, try a centrally located youth hostel or small hotel. If price isn’t an issue, splurge on Austrian luxury in an upscale hotel.
