Peggy Of The Cove, Glen Margaret

Must see · Specialty Museum · Museum
Peggy of the Cove was the title given to the only legendary survivor of a shipwreck off the rugged coast of Nova Scotia near the small fishing village now known as Peggy's Cove. She was a little girl with amnesia from the wreck. Her new parents called her Peggy. Folks around St. Margaret's Bay would say, "Let's go see Peggy of the Cove," and eventually they named their village after her, Peggy's Cove.

Now, Ivan Fraser is bringing her story to life through BOOKS, DOLLS, PAINTINGS, PRINTS, SONG and more at the the PEGGY OF THE COVE website and through his childhood home MUSEUM, where in his story, Peggy spent time with his grandmother, Janet.

Peggy's story has fired imaginations the world over and Peggy of the Cove is attracting a growing number of fans.

  • This is such a great place to visit! Ivan is entertaining and talented. He provides an informative interactive tour of 'Peggy's Museum acompanied by stories and some history. He is an award winning author, a creative photographer and an artist. It is an exceptional experience in local culture. Well worth the trip!!
  • Friendly, cheerful, "character" owns and runs this interesting and usually overlooked little gem on the way from Halifax to Peggy's Cove. The house has historical artifacts and Ivan has many stories, most of which are true and some just might be embellished. Well worth the time to stop and have a look.
