The museum was closed both times we dropped by. However, the ship is visible from the water front. The museum buildings are very nice. The ship is not totally complete. However, it is quite nice. more »
We had first thought of coming to Pictou 10 years ago to learn about the arrival of The Hector - and the museum did not disappoint. Excellent displays and interpretation boards, and staff who are so..... more »
Great beer selection and fast service with lots of out door seating. Great with kids. Didnt try the food.
An interesting exhibit to learn about the hardships of immigration. The museum was very informative and the staff quite nice with answering questions. Some of the decor seemed out of place ( I was distracted by a skull that was clearly a Halloween decoration) but ultimately it was worth the look. I agree that the ocean view was quite obscured by the pulp-mill pumping out fumes that could be smelled in the air.
