Admire the impressive range of over 80,000 artworks at The AGO, Art Gallery of Ontario, one of the largest venues of its kind in North America. With a collection spanning the period between the 1st century CE and the present day, this architectural landmark (with a facade by noted architect Frank Gehry) houses First Nation carvings, Henry Moore sculptures, rare Quebecois religious items, and much more. Other highlights include permanent exhibits of European paintings by Tintoretto, Rubens, Rembrandt, Goya, Picasso, Rodin, Monet, Degas, Cezanne, and many other Baroque and Renaissance masters. The AGO, Art Gallery of Ontario Reviews
לא להחמיץ את גן הפס... more »The building of the museum is very impressive. Admission is very expensive for $25 per person. I didn't have time to visit the museum's permanent collections, but I visited the exhibition with the early works of Rubens, which was very impressive. Don't miss the sculpture garden and the cafeteria on the first floor of the building.

A wonderful art gallery that didn't seem to end. I loved the variety and especially the letters and photos from those lost to the war. I would also love to thank the staff for being very kind and thoughtful when thought I lost my (very special) necklace there. They were very comforting and did everything in their capacity to help. If you are visiting, please check out this Art Gallery! The walk from the central of Toronto to the gallery goes through Chinatown so it is a nice walk.
As far as large art galleries go - the AGO is a good one. There is a considerable collection of the famous Group of Seven Canadian artists. It also boasts a special feature artist or group of artists. It also has a child play area and other features. Handicap accessible with elevators. Impressionism: In the Age of Industry, with Many famous French artists in including Monet. Its fabulous.
