Toronto City Hall, Toronto

4.3
An iconic government building, Toronto City Hall was designed by Finnish architect Viljo Revell, who envisioned the structure as a saucer-shaped council chamber flanked by two concave towers of differing heights. You can take a tour of the building to learn about the history of the city and see its green roof, arguably the structure's finest architectural feature. Our Toronto trip planner makes visiting Toronto City Hall and other Toronto attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

  • Built in the 1960s this unusual looking building has featured in quite a few tv shows and movies. It is a very functional building housing the City Council.  more »

  • We recently were there during the time of the ice rink, Christmas tree and the building being lighted. The sign was neat as it changed color a few time, the tree was nicely decorated, not over gaudy and the pictures were very nice. A nice place to stop by and people watch or skate and enjoy a public venue and take pictures.
  • A very nice area to spend your Christmas nights,..at the Christmas market. Everything lit up around you, its an enjoyable place to be for the season. Tons of people on the city hall grounds for their Christmas festival. Great parking and relatively cheap below the market,..$8 for the weekend day park. Very good knowing there is no entry fee for the market. The stairs from the underground lot came straight up into the market. Lots of vendors for food and trinket stuff,.... some not the norm for this venue which was good to see. Some alcoholic drinks for sale, lots of Christmas stuff, great butter tarts and of course, skating with rentals.
