Together with architects John Sonnier and Dominique Ronsseray, Victor Vasarely established Fondation Vasarely in 1976. The trio wanted to promote "art for all" and of the "city of tomorrow." Study 42 large works of art, each 6 by 8 m (20 ft by 26 ft.) Vasarely's seven "cells" are hexagonal rooms that measure 14 m (46 ft) across and 11 m (36 ft) high. The French National Commission named the foundation a historic monument almost 40 years later. • The renovation is beginning to bear fruit. Home correct. Correct price, extra temporary exposure, and nothing more. More works being renovated. All in all, captivating museum. Visit time, about 1 hour 30/2:00.

  • We visited the Vasarely Foundation about 15 years ago; she was in a deplorable state! We visited it last week and what a change! The monumental works are either restored or being restored; some are made of Briare enamels, or they are tapestries of Aubusson or Goblins. Upstairs an exhibition traces Vasarely's life with works of youth including a painting reminiscent of Picasso.

  • The place is still in renovation but please don t focus of this point. Look at the art instead. It s creative , colorful, very fun place to take picture, the girl at the entrance was full of class. And it was great to know more about the artist. Plus they do very cool activities for kids, they seem to have great fun!
  • Fantastic museum. The canvas artwork (partly inspired by mathematics) is excellent.
