Explore the residential ruins at La Villa de Seviac. The remains of the luxurious Gallo-Roman villa date back somewhere between the second and seventh centuries with Merovingian vestiges. Entrance is free to the vast thermal complex with heated rooms, wading pools, and a swimming pool. Admire the marble and the mosaics decorating the area. Leave time to visit the galleries around the courtyard, which feature mosaic floors. Make La Villa de Seviac a centerpiece of your Montreal-du-Gers vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Montreal-du-Gers day trip planner.

These mosaics, from the School of Aquitaine, represent geometric patterns of astonishing modernity and plants. The visit to the villa is still as interesting as ever with its spa area of more than 500 m2. It should be noted that interpretive panels will soon be installed. Currently the visit is done with a guide plan given to the reception. Admission: 5 euros per person.

The entrance price of 5 euros (reasonable) is understandable In conclusion difficult to imagine the daily life of the owners of the premises at that time
Well worth a visit. Quite a big site. Lots to think about in the remains
As far as gallo-roman villas go, this is one of the best i’ve ever seen. Actually, this might be the only one. Whatever.
