Elisabeth Bridge crosses the Danube at its narrowest point in Budapest. Admire the bronze statue of Elizabeth of Bavaria, for whom the bridge is named, in the garden on the Buda side. This side also features Döbrentei Square with two monuments, as well as historical baths nearby. On the other side, visit the March 15 Square, where the oldest church in Pest is located. The bridge offers one of the quickest walking routes between Buda and Pest. Take one of the pedestrian sidewalks next to the road on the bridge and enjoy the views. • The bridge is majestic in night time. All the bridges and buildings across the Danube river are magnificent in night. You have to visit Liberty square in darkness too (and also whole Budapest).
  • Located in the city center, the Elisabeth Bridge is very popular amongst tourist. Best time to visit is in the evening as the views get more interesting. Don't worry if you feel the bridge move under you feet, it's normal. Just watch out for joggers. The photo is not of the bridge, it,s the Buda Castle and the Danube, as seen from the there.
