  • The historic site, here immortalized by events, almost, a year ago, was killed by Bishop Gellert who brought the word of Christ to local pagans.

  • Saint Gellert is the patron saint of Budapest, born in the 10th century in Venice and since childhood devoted his life to the service of God! Gellert's dream, like that of any cleric at the time, was a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. On the ship, which sailed to the future Israel, Gellert met the abbot from Hungary. The latter persuaded the priest before traveling to Jerusalem to visit his home country and meet King Istvan I. Gellert decided that a small hook would not play a big role, and eventually stayed in Hungary for life.)) His patron and friend was Istvan 1, but after the death of the king began persecution ... The pagans put Gellert in a barrel with nails and let her down the mountain. One of the worst types of execution. Perhaps now it will be easy for you to guess that the mountain from which the barrel was thrown, and there is Mount Gellert. In 1083, Gellert was considered a saint!
