Bahai Lotus Temple, New Delhi

  • This place was great from the outside, the design reminded me of a smaller Sydney Opera House. Free entry, but that also means crowds of tourists and locals. Our guide told us to keep an eye on our possessions but we were OK. Very photogenic. Lined up to go inside, but didn't spend long in there, but you can sit there and absorb the surroundings. This is bahai lotus temple , which is known for the objective of uniting people from different religions into one. Amazingly calm place, perfect place to meditate. Even outside you will find lush green garden. A must visit..
  • Unique piece of monument! One of its kind! It is a worship place for the Bahai Community but to others it could be a lovely place to hangout with friends and family. Surrounded by a lot of greenery, this place is a perfect outing. Very peaceful inside the prayer hall of the temple, where you have to sit silently. And don't forget to wear socks if visiting during summers, since you may find your feet burning as you will have to leave your footwear outside the premises.
  • A place of worship, one can find peace inside the structure which is simple yet is rich and elegant at the same time. The campus is nice and well maintained. As it's beside a main road, it's typical shape is difficult to miss. Parking is also not a problem.
  • Amazing infrastructure. As the name suggests, lotus temple is designed like a lotus floating in water. The surrounding is very good and entering inside the temple will make you feel as if you have stepped in the world of peace. The gardens around it are very attractive. There is a museum in the front of temple, where you can get details about the temple and the Wahabis.
  • Wonderful ancient architecture. Excellent place of meditation with cleanines, beautifully maintained garden. Entry is free. Beautiful pools near the base of temple. Usually this place is crowded. Good & decent staff to manage the movements of the visitors. Free shoe services are offered.
