Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, New Delhi

4.8
Golden domes and ornate carvings accentuate the profile of Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, the site of some of the final acts of Harkrishan Dev, a Sikh guru. Originally constructed in the 17th century and largely rebuilt after World War II, the building lies on one edge of an extensive reflective pool. Explore the compound, wandering under arcade walkways on your way to the temple itself. Be sure to follow posted procedures before entering, which include washing your feet. • The temple is a nice building. They have spezialized personal for tourist. You can deposit shoes and get head cover for free. Walking around the building you will get glimpses of various interesting activities going on there. If you want to know more about the religion, one guy from the tourist room can offer you a small talk.
  • Must visit place in Delhi. Cover your head with handkerchief or locally available special caps. Never miss the delicious Prasad. If you have time take meal free of cost with thousands of other pilgrims. Sit inside the Gurudwara for meditation. The lake is superb with full of fish. Maintain the rules others follow.
  • Golden Temple of Delhi. A divine place in Delhi, so soothing and peaceful. It's a religious place of worshipping. Holy kund to take bath. Can't review such a divine place. It's beyond any review.
  • Its is a very beautiful place and everyone came here for peace and good for children here is a big pond in which there are so many fishes of different species and people fed them. There are also food given by the temple to the peoples. Its very big place and mostly Punjabi came here.
  • Holy atmosphere. Visited here in the morning, there was a positive silence. The staff is kind and helpful like any other temple and gurudwara. Parking was an only issue. It might be possible due to morning rush or I was not able to find the right parking. Apart from this the gurudwara was awesomely built. The water view is great.
