  • It was the residence of late Prime Minster Indira Gandhi which is now a museum. Her photographs from childhood are set on the walls, newspaper articles, etc. Articles gifted from other countries are showcased. Dinning Room, Library, Drawing Room , Puja Rooms with daily use items are preserved. Better to know little bit about her prior to visit which help you to correlate and make it interesting. Very well preserved history of India, one can feel the essence of the Iron Lady Indira Gandhi in every corner, well maintained museum with proper signage.
  • It is a well managed museum, not the best though considering how limited information provided and some of the writings were difficult to read. Considering I went to Dr. Ambedkar's memorial and they have good audio guide + a clear timeline that helped visitors to understand his works in accordance to the period of time. It would be even better if they did the same thing in this museum. The museum is free and the area surrounding the museum is just lovely.
