#3 of 88 in Shopping in Ubud
A fair-trade business, Threads of Life works to alleviate poverty in the rural areas of Indonesia. The shop commissions handicrafts from the local people--items are made with native materials and natural dyes. Proceeds go to the region's weavers, who have a chance to establish independent coops, manage their resources, and make a living in a sustainable way. • Beautiful presentation of traditional fabrics of various places in Indonesia. Relatively expensive but totally makes sense. For a napkin dip dyed in natural color IDR 95k
