  • We are in the upper part of the country, behind the historic "Hostaria di Bacchus" and near the famous marisa Cuomo winery, producer of the mythical "Fiorduva", the best white on the coast of Amalfi. The church of St. James or Saint Jaco, born in 1362 is a basilica with three aisles with as many absidi adorned with a bell tower the highest present in the area, of which it is now a visual element of fundamental importance. Below it is a small rock chapel on a single aisle with a set of frescoes of considerable artistic historical value. The paintings depict the Magdalene, St. Catherine of Alexandria and St. Margaret with a strong reference to the paintings of the upper chapel of St. Mary of the Olearia and are presumably attributed to Roberto d'Oderisio. The church is open on Sundays, for mass around 10 a.m.

  • Exciting atmosphere of worship for the veneration of Saint Anthony, patron saint of fury. Procession in honor of the Saint made with faith and devotion. Small but substantial party organized for the occasion.
