The gardens not only shelter colorful plants from around the globe, but also offer panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the popular spa resort town of Merano. I Giardini di Castel Trauttmansdorff Reviews
We are big plant people and love to visit botanical gardens wherever we go. This quickly jumped to our Top 5! We were not expecting the incredible collections here, or the vast diversity of plants... more »
From 4 Euros for parking in October (car parks empty) to no maps inside the gardens except SOS & nothing offered at the ticket office. As a result, we don't really know how much we saw nor how much..... more »
Absolutely wonderful and worth a visit, a place where you can relax and explore the beauty of nature, we thought that it was an hour or two hours visit but we ended up spending most of the day. The place is well organized with signs of the various garden areas so you won't get lost. There are viewing platforms too, benches to get most of the amazing views, different kind of flowers and trees. There's a restaurant if you get hungry. Parking area is wide. Ticket cost is 14€.
Have to admit Jeab was driving this visit. Honestly, really enjoyed. Property is gorgeous with a wonderful layout to keep interesting. Colors, smells, grapes and fruits all over and the Italian Fountains are always fun.
