ogni anno vengo giù a piedi dai Baranci per godermi il silenzio e la pace che si prova ad a scendere da questa montagna verso san Candido. ed ogni anni, immancabilmente, mi fermo a guardare con triste... more »every year I come down on foot from the Baranci to enjoy the silence and peace that it takes to descend from this mountain towards St. Candido. and every year, invariably, I stop to look sadly at the Wildbad bathrooms, home of the Grand Hotel and I always ask myself the same question: but why do no one, private or institutions, not invest in this beautiful area to bring back to the vastness of the Grand Hotel? A spa facility in San Candido would be a further draw for that "spa tourism" that has made the fortunes of some Italian resorts for decades and decades. it would also be for this type of clientele an "advertising spot" for the whole area..... a pity a pity. then after a nice sigh I continue my descent not without having filled a couple of bottles with water gushing nearby, from the healing properties...

A great natural setting, this former spa complex brings back memories of the era of the Habsburg Empire; You can take advantage of three different sources of healing water each with different composition and properties. The place is easily accessible in about 20 minutes walk from the parking lot on the provincial to the Monte Croce pass of Comelico, on a comfortable gravel road with walk suitable for everyone.
They are the old spas of San Candido. They are in complete abandonment and partially collapsed. They're only interesting for their story. Externally you can visit a small church and little else. Water sources on site. They are on the beautiful path to the Baranci hut
