  • We purchased a skip the line combo ticket for this Museum and the Doge Palace. Getting a skip the line ticket is highly recommended for the Doge Palace. Museo Correr was very interesting and beautiful...  more »
  • To avoid queuing at the entrance of the Palace ducale. We went to take the tickets at the Correr Museum (and its continuities: apartments "sissi", library, Museum of archaeology). Museum very quiet, very beautiful and interesting, fast. With temporary exhibitions on migration, which was beautiful and well integrated into the Museum.

  • We were at the Museum last June with my kids. I recommend it, though not among the obligatory stops of Venice.

  • Nice exhibitions. The museum holds large collections of Venetian antiques, most of which unique to this place. Among all the items were a full collection of Venetian coins from its founding till its fall, which was quite stunning.
  • Mediocre organization, ok-ish staff, 3 museums whit one entrance (Correr, Library, Architectural)
  • Quite good options to get away from the crowd. Interesting artwork on display
  • Splendid museum and far not so crowded as the rest of the San Marco square ;)
  • This exhibition holds some stunning artwork and many sculptures. The museum goes hand in hand with the doges palace exhibit. With views of San marcos square this visit is a must.

Where to stay in Venice

Save money and avoid tourist crowds by booking your accommodation outside the historical center of Venice. Central Venice is full of picturesque canals and narrow lanes, but it is also extremely noisy and hectic throughout the day and late into the night. You can explore the ancient city's charms at your own pace by staying at a comfortable B&B or small hotel located in the city's residential suburbs. To stay close to the finest beaches and restaurants, check into a hotel on the island of Lido, the city's famous seaside resort.
