There's so much potential and one of the exhibitions was incredibly interesting. There just wasn't much else in the museum. We were in and out in about half an hour. We wouldn't have paid to go there ...  more »

Family visit disappointing because it there is no audio guide. Apart from the General known. Anything more specific in the history of the Jews today today has been provided us. Spleen as incomprehensible. D other Venetian monuments are price and affordable language

  • Went on a guided tour. Guide spoke good English and gave an excellent overview of Jewish Venice, it's Ghetto and 3 of the 5 synagogues. Also answered our questions. Gift shop definitely worth visiting. Lastly, the Museum also features a Kosher dairy cafeteria with cookies, pastries, coffee and average cuisine. Two days in a row, we enjoyed a quiet and relaxing lunch.
  • Excellent guided synagogue tour. Well paced. All questions answered. In English. Children included. Highly recommend.
  • Very pleasant guided tour, even for our children. It was seemingly interesting for complete newcomers to the subjects at hand as well as those that are more or less familiar with Jewish Venice. We visited several of the synagogues.
  • Excellent synagogue tour do take it, learned loads, nicely set out museum.
  • I found really interesting the guided tour through the sinagogues.

Where to stay in Venice

Save money and avoid tourist crowds by booking your accommodation outside the historical center of Venice. Central Venice is full of picturesque canals and narrow lanes, but it is also extremely noisy and hectic throughout the day and late into the night. You can explore the ancient city's charms at your own pace by staying at a comfortable B&B or small hotel located in the city's residential suburbs. To stay close to the finest beaches and restaurants, check into a hotel on the island of Lido, the city's famous seaside resort.
