  • It is said that the founder of Fujiwara Sei Ashikaga, Ashikaga, recommended it at the time of Ashikaga Castle in the latter half of the Heian period. It sits at the top of a not-so-high mountain in the city centre. It is a shrine that is believed as Ashikaga Fuji from ancient days, consists of ninomiya of the upper miya (man asama) and the lower miya (measama), and enshrines the god of bringing up a child as a festival god. Every year, on June 1st, the boys of the babies born in that year are in the upper palace, and the girls are known for their petan, which is the temple below, and the red seal of the wish for safe growth is affixed to the deco. The two shrines are located in separate mountains next to each other, and i thought it was inconvenient, and the opening of the Tobu Railway caused the original mountain to be divided?! Because there seemed to be a considerable way to man Asama Shrine, I gave it up.
