  • I've been to Kusatsu Onsen in countless times, but this is my first visit to Kosenji Temple, so I came to the shrine this time. This is a shrine dedicated to Japanese takeshi, which is said to be related to Shirane Shrine and Kusatsu Onsen. You can see the hot spring town when you climb the steep stone steps. The precincts have a colony of puny. The festival is held every year on the day of the festival, and the precincts and the area around the yubata are crowded with many children and tourists.

  • I stopped by to say hello to Kusatsu. It was a beautiful shrine that was well maintained though it was a small shrine that local people gathered, was cleaned, and maintained. There was also a monument of appreciation to the village for the 10th consecutive year. Insect repellent spray is mandatory in summer.

  • It is a shrine that enshrines the Japanese taketo, which is said to have discovered Kusatsu Onsen. Unlike the light Fountain temple which can be seen well from the Yubatake, this place is deserted or because only the people who know do not visit. Because it is on the hill overlooking Kusatsu Onsen, the view is good, but the shrine is mediocre and there is not even a person's sign in declared. The rooms were clean and the staff were very nice.

  • It is a shrine which is about ten minutes or less to walk in the northwest direction from the Yubatake. It is a very small shrine, but you can take water. I did not go in the approach of the steep stairs (and the wrong way) I went from the other side, please follow both roots in the return trip by all means. Every year, on July 16 and 17, there are festivals, and there are ten shrines, and at night they gather in the hot fields. By the way, it seems that the mikoshi of the Shirane shrine is only 17 days. It happened to be the 16th day that I visited, so I was in the middle of a mikoshi gathering at Shirane Shrine. I think that it is a very good shrine to the person who takes water because it is possible to also have the divine water. When I visited the place of the God water, I was able to have you put water in the empty plastic bottle purposely. It is a shrine that is not glamorous, but because it is a relieved shrine, when you come to Kusatsu Onsen, please visit by all means.
