  • Since I am little I am very fan of the works of Miyasaki! We took advantage of our honeymoon to visit the Ghibli museum! We got tickets by the JTB agency! They must be requested 3 months in advance, always on day 1. Entering is pure illusion! The museum is perfect! The exhibitions are pretty taaaaaaan! It's a shame not to be able to take pictures! The museum is accessible and has adapted bathrooms! The only thing the souvenir shop has no variety like the official shops of Tokyo and Kyoto. It's been a fantastic visit! All the staff is very friendly! Highly recommended to fans!!

  • We love Ghibli movies so we thought we wanted to visit this museum. It was kind of difficult to get tickets in the US, but we did manage to get them. We got the museum at 9:20 am and there was already...  more »

  • You can't take any pictures inside but it's great for all Ghibli lovers, you'll get to see some interesting artworks and get a better look into the production of Ghibli movies and also an exclusive short film. The short film and most of the installations aren't in English so beware, you'll likely have a quick gander and move on. You get a cool little film reel as your admission for the short film/exhibition. Great experience if you have children for to let your inner child out and explore the mind of Studio Ghibli.
  • I grew up on Ghibli, so this was life changing for me. They don't allow photographs inside the museum, so excuse the lack of photos. They show the process behind creating all of the most beloved films including the animation and coloring. It's absolutely amazing and the gift shop is adorable, too.
