  • It is about a 10-minute walk from Mitaka Station. This is the house where Yuzo Yamamoto, the writer of "Roadside Stone," lived. It was a splendid Western-style building and it was more wonderful when I looked at it from the garden in the back side. On the day, there was a talk ing party at the event.

  • The fashionable western that he lived in is a museum. It is an elegant mansion with a calm interior which is not a gorgeous. There are three fireplaces, and when you look out into the garden, the chimney highlights the beauty of your mansion. The most striking is the staircase, and I heard that the stained glass of the landing was designed to be the image of a cross. I think that it is extremely valuable to be able to visit the facilities of such high quality slowly and carefully without being filled.

  • I liked the atmosphere of Mitaka and decided to go here to find it by chance. The appearance is very beautiful, and the chimney of the fireplace is characteristic. It is a very large room with a second floor when entering inside though it seems to be unexpectedly small when seeing from the entrance. There are a lot of places to see, such as a study and a cafeteria, but personally I like the look from the park behind the entrance. It's close to the Ghibli museum, so please come and visit us!

  • It is the Memorial Hall of the artist and Yuzo Yamamoto who worked from Taisho to Showa. The western that Yamamoto Yuzo lived in is like the museum, and the exhibition and the work related to Yuzo Yamamoto are introduced. The entrance fee for the hotel is cheap, but I think that the person who does not care about Yuzo Yamamoto or the building enters until paying the admission fee. Because the garden is free of charge, I put it there willingly. The garden is managed and very beautiful, but there are no special changes or playground equipment, so it may be boring for children. However, acorns and pine cones have fallen, and there is also a small pond, but I think that such a thing is good for a little walk of the child who likes it.
