Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan Reviews
Has a good collection of fishes including two huge whales. There is a good area to walk below the water where you can observe the different varieties of fishes from various angles. The Penguins and se... more »
水族館という... more »I visited Osaka for business. I thought somewhere because I had a day left, but i visited here indoors because the weather seemed to be bad. Get tickets with unlimited rides from the subway station near the hotel. I got it because other perks are also attached. Compared to other aquariums, there is no such thing as outdoor exhibitions or shows, but the central aquarium was a masterpiece. However, the transparency of the glass is not good and it is a little regrettable. It was interesting that there was a corner where i touched a direct lye etc. I understood the meaning of the sea-yukan rather than the aquarium. The weather didn't break, so we enjoyed a day of enjoying the day we were able to re-enter the museum after a cruise discount or meal on the Santa Maria.
I didn't enter aquarium because it was late, and I was running low on cash. But what you can see for free is a spectacular light display outside the aquarium. Various animals from fish, jellyfish, dolphins, whales are displayed in colourful ,alternating light patterns with accompanying sound effects. And behind it is the giant Ferris wheel of Osaka ! Where you can get a lovely view of the city and look at this aquarium, especially the display of the whale with fishes swimming towards it. It's a distance off the Osaka loop which you get with JR passes ( can't recall exactly price but round trip back to the loop is
Very well maintained hot spot that's definitely a delight to visit whether for children or adults. Especially love the jellyfish displays that were aesthetically pleasing and great for photographers. All the staff there were super friendly and smiled pleasantly when they were assisting the kids at the stingray petting area. There's a particular ice cream and snack corner in the aquarium with the greatest view of the sea, and it was the most breathtaking sight just as the sun was setting. Try the special blue soda soft serve ice cream that's apparently a unique flavour just for the aquarium! Tip: buy the tickets for the Ferris wheel/Ship/Aquarium together at a package price so that it's more worth it
