If the wheelchair had been wider than 60 cm, the access to the ship would not have worked so easily. However, the crew would certainly have lifted the wheelchair and its contents over the railing, because at the time of booking we were assured that the trip is also suitable for roller skates. However, the toilets could be reached in the lower deck and only via a narrow ladder. In this respect, only rollis with a well-trained bladder can be recommended.
We visited in April and did the two hour round the bay adventure. It was lovely - enjoyed it so much I'm bringing my Aussie family back to Paihia for Xmas to show them everything it has to offer. more »
FANTASTIC ADVENTURE ! We had a 2 week holiday in NZ a few years back and my wife organized a cruise on this schooner for one of our adventures. A very enjoyable lunch including ice cold beers was provided on the ship at no extra cost. We also stopped along the way at a couple of islands to explore the coastline. It was fun to paddle to the shore in a little dinghy. The staff on board looked after everybody very well. It was a unique experience for us landlubbers and a real fun day !
Best day we had during our two months in New Zealand! We saw 17 dolphins too!
