  • Wandering around here for a few hours. Many fine houses and buildings from the turn of the century. Before II wars, this was a finer part of Oslo-snob blocks-there was a Norwegian expression: "Finer fruer fra Sentrum"! -so it is no longer the nice houses are still there, but is inhabited by "normal" people-it's life and move in the streets, and lots of places where you can eat and drink well-without breaking the Bank. About 20% cheaper than "city", though the bar 20 minutes walk over here. Parks, green---there are also songs about the Idyll here-Bygdöy alle-chestnuts.
