Merlion Park, Singapore

Witness one world's most bizarre statues at Merlion Park, famed for its figure of a half lion, half fish shooting water from its mouth in a proud arc. Built in 1964, the 9 m (30 ft) statue now represents one of Singapore's symbols. A smaller statue--the fish-lion's baby--can also be found nearby. The baby statue offers a similar photo opportunity with a fraction of the crowds. After you've taken some photos, turn your gaze around to appreciate sweeping views of the waterfront. • This is an iconic Singapore attraction .. visit it.. it's fun. Lot of tourists so to take a pic you will have to be patient :) very scenic .. if you love to walk it's amazing walk around the water.. also taxi rides are cheap..if you want to go on the other side to observation deck and gardens by the bay. Love it.
  • Definitely recommended to visit if you are in Singapore. Have lots of 5 star hotels around this place and it is exactly where the corporate area of Singapore is. Lots of restaurants and shops to eat and pick food, drink from. You can walk around the river and have a nice view of high rise buildings of Singapore. Singapore Flyer view is also awesome from here. Must visit specially in night time when all the buildings around are lit and you get a view of Merlion with back drop of lit buildings. Can't miss this in Singapore!!!
