Banos Arabes, Palma de Mallorca

A unique piece of history is waiting at Banos Arabes. Check out these baths dated from the 10th century, and they’re virtually all that remain of the Arab city of Medina Mayurqa. Historians believe the baths were once part of a nobleman’s house. The structure is a dome with interior columns and round windows. If you take a close look at the columns, you’ll notice each of them are different in size. Outside, enjoy a moment of peace in the secluded garden. You can even have a picnic lunch here if you bring food and drink. Put Banos Arabes on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Palma de Mallorca trip itinerary maker app .

  • During the tour we were deceibed by our colleague that it is great there. It was the biggest occupation during the whole tour. I preferred to allocate these 3euro to voters of blacks under the cathedral. I do not recommend P. S colleague too was disappointed.

  • After seeing several signs in the city indicating the Arab baths. We decide to go. After settling the entrance fees we arrive in a very nice garden. But to look closer at the wires on the ground that drag a scale forgotten .... and it's all The Arab Baths comes down to a nice garden and a few columns with 1 panel to read that's all. Disappointed.

  • This is such a beautiful, tranquil ancient place. My nephew actually got married here 5 years ago! I frequently revisit when I’m here - it just makes me think ? ...... how could it be possible all those hundreds of years in the past , the Moors had the insight and capability to create such a wonder? So worth a visit if you’re interested in history, architecture and beautiful gardens! Also a fabulous place to sit, take time to reflect and perhaps (if you’re like me?) just allow ten minutes of meditation - eyes closed, breathing in the ambient air filled with amazing floral scents your mind can identify, - how did it all work ,way back when it was functional? and just be at one with yourself in the lazy peaceful aromatic surroundings, hopefully encountering gratitude such places remain for all of us today to freely embrace and enjoy
  • Interesting but small remains of Moorish heated baths, with well produced video describing the ancient technology. Pleasant garden with drinks machine and seating. Short walk from cathedral.
