This Church, under the patronage of Our Lady of Socorro, belongs the Order of the Augustinian friars. The Church has a single-nave plant with side chapels with upper corridors closed by balustrades. This Magnificent temple was blessed in 1669. Within The church stands the monumental chapel of San Nicolás de Tolentino. The Chapel has a prolonged Ochavada plant and contains seven altars. Its most spectacular part is the dome with a very thick decoration, it is one of the most expressive samples of the Baroque in Majorca. In the church, which requires a visit by itself, highlights the Baroque-style major altarpiece made in the EIGHTEENTH century. There are Also various Marian sculptures from the 15TH to the EIGHTEENTH century of great interest as the holder of the Relief (made of alabaster), the Pillar, the Hope and the Itria. The image of the Sleeping Virgin Also stands out.View original
