Ayant longuement discu... more »The day after we arrived in Sri Lanka, we meet a friendly Sri Lankan on the train with whom we meet. This is actually a very, very cunning scammer! Having talked at length with him, we stop at the station he recommends, and invite us to drink tea with him. He then takes us to a first scam (apparently a mine with pebbles of rare quality) and then he tells us to go on safari, that it's cheaper because we are students, blah blah blah. We found ourselves paying for this shabby boat ride... 14,000 rupees! They promise to see animals like crocodiles, turtles, etc., we saw 3 lizards to break everything. The various activities that are "included" in the prize, finally the actors ask you for money at the end. In short, go your way, they only have the will to extract as much money as possible. Too bad it happened to us on the second day of our trip, very difficult to trust for the 3 weeks we have left, we are always on our guard and suspicious.
Une arnaque sans nom. 70 euros pour un safari de deux heures sans rien voir d'intéressant. Un temple, des poissons qui vous chatouille les pieds. Meme le jus de coco n'est pas offert pour ce prix là !... more »A nameless scam. 70 euros for a two-hour safari without seeing anything interesting. A temple, fish that tickles your feet. Even coconut juice is not offered for this price! We strongly advise against you, these people are crooks without any remorse (they knew that we were a student and that our budget was limited). Flee away from this catastrophe.
