  • My partner and I visited the cave temple while staying at Habarana. It’s a climb to the top and it’s advisable to carry some water. Get a cool drink afterwards at a stall at the car park. There are so...  more »
  • At the entrance to learn to walk a lot of stone, there is a bit of step, this time the rain comes up! Ben came to me with a raincoat, and then I decided to take the raincoat, not wear a raincoat, and then I repented! Or raincoats are fun to wear. There were a lot of stones, my legs were on, and the rain was getting bigger and bigger. Remove the shoes and save 25 ratios per person before entering this box. When you go into the cave, it's so big that it's very beautiful. There are many small and medium-sized Buddha statues and walls in the cave, very shocking! I don't think that's the case! It's well worth a look! There are two caves, one more than the other. It's raining like a waterfall. To play after the game to wear raincoats to be able to, convenient to walk, and do not need to take, hands can take pictures, heavy point is clothing can not be.

  • If your traveling through Sri Lanka, visiting the cave temples should be on your list of things to see! The Golden Temple is located in the center of the country, an easy day trip from Kandy. It's the largest and best-preserved cave temple in Sri Lanka and has beautiful carvings and fresco of the Lord Buddha all around. It's an easy walk to the top and once inside you will find yourself amazed by the history and beauty.
  • Oh my goodness this is a definite must to see whilst in Sri Lanka. It was a bit of a shock once we got there that we had to climb up about 600 steps to get to the caves but it was certainly worth it as the temples had been carved out of the rock. Once at the top the views are stunning and if you like Buddha's there are plenty to entertain you inside the caves.
