  • I am on a solo trip to Sri Lanka and that day my guide driver decided to show me around this site. After 1 1/2 hours of road, the last part of which is a broken road, we arrive at the parking lot of this site which is dirty. My guide then realizes that he has forgotten his money at the hotel and I have not taken anything. He then decides to negotiate with the reception so that I can return but nothing helps. If you do not pay the 1000 rupees requested the foreign tourist does not return. So I stayed at the entrance of the site and only my Sri Lankan guide for whom there is nothing to pay to be able to enter and take pictures for me, all under the indifferent eyes two people of the welcome and the monk present who could have allowed me to enter account ten u of circumstances. The greed of the monks of this site undermines the image of charity I had of Buddhism. My guide himself was shocked by this refusal. The tour lasts no more than 5 minutes and the price of 1000 rupees is very expensive for what to see. If you have nothing else to do come here but if your time is running out, you can do without it.

  • It's a big statue and a tiny temple. Located in a remote area so I am not sure if it's worthy but if you are around, you should definitely visit
