If there are other boats do not press the animal, they are very respectful. The boat is new and there are fewer people than in others. Quality tourism. We loved it.
I highly recommend the whale watching club among the bunches of boat owners around the mirissa area , This crew is really helpful and well expert in this field and know the more facts in whale watchin... more »
There are more pros than cons, but my overall impression got mired due to the length of the tour. What could have very conveniently gotten over within 5 hours got stretched to 8.5 hours and that seemed like a drag. There is no denying that the team was very hospitable, hands-on and punctual. They left the harbour early on, served us breakfast and snacks during the trip. The staff was caring and helpful, they did not give up till we got a good sighting, even though most of the other operators had left. This in itself was the most admirable thing, and I understand that whale sighting is not in anyone’s control, can take as many hours. What left a bad taste towards the last few hours is that they sailed painfully slow on their way back to the coast. It seemed intentional, that they had an 8.5 hour benchmark to set and even though we were done within the first 4-5 hours. It was obvious that they were slow because in the morning the boat was bouncing off the sea at high speeds and in the late afternoon they were just cruising at a leisurely pace, the coast was visible for twenty/thirty minutes in the morning and on our way back it was visible for hours. I can state my points with confidence because throughout our journey I kept checking our location and extent out in the sea on google maps. What could have been otherwise an excellent tour, turned out to be an average outing due to the stretch. That said I’ll still recommend the company and suggest the visitors to go prepared.
We were looking for a company who are animal and environment friendly and we were NOT disappointed. They are nice people who offer great services. We are very lucky to see blue whales and countless spinner dolphins, flying fish and some sea turtles. Highly recommend.
