Hike across Horton Plains National Park, a protected forest and grassland plateau rich in biodiversity. With two of the highest peaks in the country, a famous sheer cliff with a drop of some 1,200 m (4,000 ft), and a notable waterfall, the park offers plenty of focal points for adventures great and small. Discover extensive grasslands and cloud forests, as well as the wealth of natural inhabitants supported here: sambar deer, grizzled giant squirrels, Horton Plains slender loris, dull-blue flycatchers, Sri Lanka white-eyes, and much more. Van te voren zagen we wat op tegen de wandeling omdat we het vermoeden hadden dat er veel geklommen en geklauterd moest worden, maar dat was nauwelijks het geval. Daarnaast heb ik zelf altijd de angst... more »In advance we saw some on against the walk because we had the suspicion that much had to be climbed and shuffling, but that was hardly the case. In addition, I myself always the fear of a complete lack of toilets during a long walk, but fortunately there were at the entrance of the park and toilets at two different sites. It wasn't much more than a ' hole in the ground ' but for me it was! It turned out to be the best experience of the whole trip. It was very foggy, it was cold and it was raining, but that caused a magical atmosphere and a lovely walk. At mini world's End and at world's End was the equally exciting, because there was little to see through the fog and the wind was so fierce that we are far from the edge had to stay away. But in the end drew the fog what on and we can see how dazzling deep the ravine was. When accelerating of clouds and fog, we also can see how stunningly beautiful nature here is. Really a fantastic walk!

リトル・ワール... more »When you join the tours hotels in Nuwara Eliya, lunch-hotel and left at 5 am. In less than two hours to arrive at the park entrance. It's about a three-hour hike about 8 km. Is clearly different from the Japan plant on either side of the trail is not familiar with the plants I clearly have more sense of adventure to along. Frog like beating the marimba not heard cries coming from here and there just like the healing music. Little worlds end, worlds end along sheer cliffs is a breathtaking view. Baker's falls is a refreshing waterfall, soothing tired of walking. District of Sri Lanka, even in the summer heat here in the Highlands temperatures quite low. The images of autumn in Japan. My wife is not Srilankan. She was charged Rs.4,000/- to get in an I was charged Rs. 60/-🤷🏽♂️. This is not fair at all. They we asking me a proof of evidence that she is my wife. I had a soft copy on my mobile but they said they need to see the original. If we were a group they said they could charge Rs. 3,000/-. No emergency points, no protection fens at the worlds end, no mobile signals, no path for disabled people.

Good place for hiking. Water fall, river, plains in a huge area, small forest animals (not harming, not poisonous) everything is included. Around 11km journey to return by foot. Nice weather. Remember to take food and water. Taps and toilets included but limited. No polythene.

One of our world heritage. Latest archaeological facts says that before 10,000 years back, our ancient relations farm paddy in this location which means we ate rice before 10,000 years back. It is a nice experience to be Horton plains, Bakers Falls and rest.
