Fondation Beyeler operates the museum that owns and exhibits the art collection of the late Ernst and Hildy Beyler. The husband-and-wife couple amassed a large collection of modern classics during their lifetimes. A highlight of the museum is the collection of 23 pieces by Pablo Picasso; the museum also features works by Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, and Andy Warhol. The Beyelers created the foundation and museum to house their substantial art collection and provide public access to the pieces. The museum's glazed building sits nestled in Berowerpark, where special exhibits periodically take place. Fondation Beyeler Reviews

After there is finally little works and the temporary exhibition of the moment (see other reviews) not packed me (but that's a matter of personal taste). However affecting everyone is admission to 25 FCH, is unacceptable, I also regret to be entered but we did 100 express terminals. Must democratize access to culture and the Foundation does not take this path. Too bad...!
Positive: - the wonderful building by Renzo Piano worths the visit. Its relation with the gardens is beautiful. - some of the permanent collection pieces that are exposed. Negative: - price... 25 Swis... more »
私は同日、駅に着き、スーツケースは駅地下の一時預かりに預け（確... more »Just now looking at the upcoming contemporary artists Wolfgang Tillmans exhibition for visiting Basel and went only to this museum. So was worth the interviewed asked as a tourist in General is not the environment, including building location, Museum, gardens and exhibits were great. Easy access from the city centre by tram. I on the same day, arrived at the station, the suitcase station temporary storage placed in charge (certainly 10 Swiss francs and 3 francs higher than the coin-operated lockers but had no cash, credit processing temporary storage was used. ), Including transfer to and from airport, moved to Denmark from the airport on the same day, the tram was used one day tickets. Half the Tillmans after collection exhibition, Picasso, Monet, OOO Hall, Marlene Dumas, works great none was. However, contemporary art not so much interested in somewhat bad is lovely, and seem.
Experience another great structure by Italian architect Renzo Piano while taking in art from the 19th through 21st century. If you are 65 and have ID the museum is Free. Take the 6 Tram to the end of the line. 17 stops from Motel 1.
A beautiful museum by Renzo Piano. The contrast between the light roof and the big rock walls is very nice and classy. If you are a student under 26 the entrance is free!
The building was beautiful and the park nice. But unless you know you will enjoy the temporary exhibition I wouldn't make the effort to go here. Their own part is not very big, especially if you compare price to the other museums. The temporary exhibition was quite big and the current one wasn't interesting too me.. By all means they have some great works but the signage was also pretty poor and the leaflets weren't really that good. To my understanding they have a lot more than what they show bur guessing it's on loan. Could have had high expectations but a bit disappointed overall. It may be worth it if you do a guided tour.
Very proud that we have the wonderful Beyeler foundation here in Basel, I love to attend almost all most exhibitions.
One of my favorite museums in the whole world. Combines the beauty of the pieces with a very nice building.
