A modern, bustling city known for its beer brewery, Sapporo attracts millions of visitors with its Snow Festival, during which elaborate ice and snow sculptures are exhibited all over town.
Your inner history buff will appreciate Clock Tower (Tokei-dai) and Hokkaido Jingu. Museum-lovers will get to explore Historical Village of Hokkaido (Kaitaku-no Mura) and Otaru-shi General Museum. Change things up with these side-trips from Sapporo: Otaru (Otaru Aquarium & Otaru Canal). Singapore, Singapore to Sapporo is an approximately 11-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight; or do a combination of flight and train. The time zone difference moving from Singapore Time (SGT) to Japan Standard Time (JST) is 1 hour. Traveling from Singapore in June, expect nights in Sapporo to be slightly colder, around 19°C, while days are cooler, around 20°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 9th (Sun) to allow enough time to take a train to Asahikawa.

You can take a train from Sapporo to Asahikawa in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. In June, plan for daily highs up to 20°C, and evening lows to 19°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 10th (Mon) so you can drive to Abashiri.

Drive from Asahikawa to Abashiri in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or do a combination of bus and train. Traveling from Asahikawa in June, Abashiri is a bit cooler at night with lows of 15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 11th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Rausu-cho.

On the 12th (Wed), take in the dramatic scenery at Kamuiwakka Hot Waterfall, then surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour, and then take a memorable drive along Shiretoko Highway. Keep things going the next day: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mt. Rausu and then look for all kinds of wild species at Shiretoko Peninsula.

Getting from Abashiri to Rausu-cho by car takes about 2 hours. Expect a daytime high around 20°C in June, and nighttime lows around 14°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 13th (Thu) early enough to travel to Hakodate.
