The oldest of Norway's major cities, Trondheim sits on the southern shore of one of the country's longest fjords.
Take a break from the city and head to Bymarka and Sykkelheisen Trampe. There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at Rockheim, learn about all things military at Kristiansten Fortress, don't miss a visit to Old Town Bridge, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Nidaros Cathedral.
