In the Aosta Valley bordering Switzerland and France, the medieval city of Aosta is famous for its prime skiing conditions and rich cultural history.
Start off your visit on the 14th (Sat): explore the ancient world of Criptoportico Forense, thenlet the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour, thenexamine the collection at Forte di Bard, and finally step into the grandiose world of Castello di Fenis. On the next day, make a trip to Porta Pretoria, thenidentify plant and animal life at Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso, and then admire the sheer force of Lillaz Waterfalls.
