You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Centro Storico Associazione Centro Storico and Duomo di Orvieto. Explore Rome's surroundings by going to Parco Archeologico di Ostia Antica (in Ostia Antica), Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta Spoleto (in Spoleto) and Civita di Bagnoregio (in Civita di Bagnoregio). Calgary, Canada to Rome is an approximately 15.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. The time zone changes from Mountain Standard Time (MST) to Central European Time (CET), which is usually an 8 hour difference. Prepare for much warmer weather when traveling from Calgary in November: high temperatures in Rome hover around 20°C and lows are around 9°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Fri) early enough to take a train to Florence.
