Located on the coast in the middle of the island, Onna-son has become known for its beaches and seaside economy.
Head to Onna Station Nakayukui Market and AEONMALL OKINAWA RYCOMfor plenty of shopping. Get a sense of the local culture at Nakijin Castle Ruins and Sefa-Utaki. Change things up with these side-trips from Onna-son: Okichan Theater (in Motobu-cho) and Aiai Farm (in Nakijin-son). You can do a combination of bus and flight from Onna-son to Ibusuki in 5.5 hours. Other options are to do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of bus, ferry, and train. Traveling from Matsue in February, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be a bit warmer in Ise, with lows of 7°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Mon) so you can travel to Ishigaki.
