Start off your visit on the 18th (Mon): take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Fansipan Mountain, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Y Linh Ho, then stop by Indigo Cat, then take a stroll through Giang Ta Chai Village, and finally wander the streets of Ta Phin Village. A fairly nondescript town, Ninh Binh acts as a base for explorations of the province of the same name, with the karst landscape and lush valleys that surround the town offering a wealth of scenic vistas of rice paddies and rugged rocks.
On the 20th (Wed), Head underground at Mua Caves, get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour, then don't miss a visit to Hoa Lu temples of the Dinh & Le Dynasties, and finally don't miss a visit to Bich Dong Pagoda. On the next day, Head underground at Trang An Grottoes, identify plant and animal life at Van Long Nature Reserve, and then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Bai Dinh Pagoda.
