Reykjavik, the world's most northerly capital, effortlessly combines small-town charm with heaps of big city energy.
Take a break from the city and head to Ring Road and Lake Tjornin. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to National Museum of Iceland and Nautholsvik Geothermal Beach. There's lots more to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Hallgrimskirkja, take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports, visit a coastal fixture at Grotta Lighthouse, and examine the collection at The Icelandic Punk Museum.
