A suburb of Kandy, Peradeniya draws more than 2 million visitors annually to its royal botanical gardens.
Start off your visit on the 30th (Tue): see the interesting displays at National Railway Museum, then stop by Embilmeegama Tea Factory, then pause for some serene contemplation at Hindagala Temple, and finally don't miss a visit to Royal Botanical Gardens. Here are some ideas for day two: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Embekke Devalaya, make a trip to Suriyakantha Centre for Art & Culture, then enjoy breathtaking views from Dawson Tower, then admire the natural beauty at Susantha Spice and Herbal Garden, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Nelligala International Buddhist Center.

Plan my trip to Peradeniya with suggested itineraries provided by Inspirock.

If you are flying in from Lebanon, the closest major airports are Bandaranaike International Colombo Airport and Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport. In July, daytime highs in Peradeniya are 35°C, while nighttime lows are 30°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 31st (Wed) early enough to travel back home.
