The small town of Myoko, nestled between five mountain peaks, attracts skiing and winter-sport enthusiasts with its famed resorts and abundant snowfall.
Kids will enjoy Hakuba Snow Sports School and Hakuba Jump Arena. Explore Myoko's surroundings by going to Ushikata Inn (in Otari-mura), Hakuba-mura (Hakuba Happoone Ski Resort, Hakuba Goryu Ski Resort / Alpine Garden, & more) and Nozawaonsen-mura (Ogama, Nozawa Onsen, & more). On the 14th (Tue), spend an exhilarating day on the slopes at Akakura Onsen Ski Area. Next up on the itinerary: identify plant and animal life at Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park, make a trip to Yubatake, tour the pleasant surroundings at Karuizawa Snow Park, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Zenko-ji Temple.

Plan my trip to Myoko with suggested itineraries provided by Inspirock.

If you are flying in from Australia, the closest major airports are Toyama Airport, Niigata Airport and Komatsu Airport. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 24th (Fri) early enough to travel back home.
