Cortina d'Ampezzo, commonly referred to as Cortina, is a town and comune in the heart of the southern (Dolomitic) Alps in the Veneto region of Northern Italy. Explore Cortina d'Ampezzo's surroundings by going to Selva di Val Gardena (Val Gardena, Cabinovia Dantercepies, &more), Brunico (Parrocchiale di Nostra Signora, Cimitero Austro-Ungarico di Brunico, &more) and Ortisei (Chiesa di San Giacomo & Seceda). There's still lots to do: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Tre Cime di Lavaredo, tour the pleasant surroundings at Drau Cycle Route, fly down the slopes at Rifugio Lagazuoi, and learn about winemaking at PDC Cartizze.

To see maps, other places to visit, more things to do, and more tourist information, use the Cortina d'Ampezzo vacation planner.

If you are flying in from Turkey, the closest major aiports are Treviso-Sant'Angelo Airport, Venice Marco Polo Airport and Trieste–Friuli Venezia Giulia Airport. Expect a daytime high around °C in July, and nighttime lows around °C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 31st (Fri) early enough to travel back home.
