Kerch is a city of regional significance on the Kerch Peninsula in the east of the Crimea. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Adzhimushkay Quarry and Opukskiy Nature Reserve. Visiting Karalarskiy Nature Park and Beach Mayak will get you outdoors. Step out of Kerch to go to Yurkyne and see Yurkyne Beach, which is approximately 38 minutes away. There's still lots to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of St. John the Baptist, kick back and relax at Kerch City Beach SunDali, make a trip to Royal Kurgan, and take an in-depth tour of Historical and Archaeological Museum.

Istanbul, Turkey to Kerch is an approximately 10-hour bus ride. You can also do a combination of car and ferry. Prepare for slightly colder weather when traveling from Istanbul in January: high temperatures in Kerch hover around 6°C and lows are around -1°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 19th (Sun) early enough to drive to Shcholkine.
