Tyrol's capital and one of the nation's wealthiest cities, Trento serves as the commercial and cultural center of the region.
Bring the kids along to MUSE - Museo delle Scienze and Scuola Italiana Sci Dolomiti di Brenta. Get out of town with these interesting Trento side-trips: A.M.A.V. - Caseificio Sociale Presanella (in Mezzana), Scuola Italiana di Sci Azzurra (in Folgarida) and Andalo (Scuola Italiana di Sci & Snowboard Kristal & Paganella). There's still lots to do: fly down the slopes at Val Gardena, hike along Tappeiner Promenade, admire the landmark architecture of Duomo Maria Assunta, and admire the natural beauty at I Giardini di Castel Trauttmansdorff.
